Britain’s Best Kept Secret and the “6 Rs.”
Dr. Fred Lim qualified from The Middlesex Hospital in 1971 and was appointed consultant physician to Kings College Hospital in 1979. He is now wholly in private practise in London.
Dr. Fred states “The creation of cosmetics is an attempt to support Nature at her best.” Damage and degeneration of the skin result from external toxins, dehydration and ageing. As formulae will be less than perfect there is a myriad of theories and products. Dr. Fred therefore attempted to simplify his formulations but considered moisturizers, humectants, collagen, keratin, elastin, anti-irritants, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidants to be essential ingredients. Collagen is a protein with great tensile strength and it is elastic when combined with soft keratin. Proteins are composed of amino acid building blocks, so when collagen deteriorates with age and weathering, wrinkles result.
Keratin is also a protein and one of its amino acids, cysteine, forms strong bonds which create stability. It is the main component of hair and nails.
Elastin is the third protein which allows the skin to reshape after it is stretched.
Dr. Fred is an unique range of 5 skin and 2 hair care products containing marine collagen, marine elastins, wheat, soy and corn protein. The odourless serum and creams are used twice daily.
Apply Dr. Fred clear face serum (size 30ml) followed by face cream (size 30g).
The pink body serum (size 100ml) can penetrate deformities in the skin and provide moisture. Then apply body reparative cream (size 100g) to add protection, reduce dehydration and assist to restore a healthy, smooth skin.
The body moisturiser (size 100ml) is applied daily or after bathing.
Wash hair with the keratin shampoo (size 100ml). After rinsing and whilst the hair is still wet spread the special hair serum (size 100ml) with a comb or soft brush then apply warm air using a hair dryer to create a soft, silky and smooth texture.
None of the Dr. Fred products has been tested on animals and they can be safely used in pregnancy. They are suitable for both sexes and those aged over 16 years. Dr. Fred completed the initial tests on his own skin. The cosmetics were only available to patients attending his private consulting rooms so Dr. Fred is “Britain’s Best Kept Secret.” When the range is available internationally, the “Secret” will be no longer.
